The FACTS Family Portal is your single sign-on access to student information (grades, schedules, etc.), school forms, resource documents, as well as financial and health information.
FAMILY DEMOGRAPHIC FORM
When you login to your FACTS Family Portal account, you will see a Web Forms menu listing. This section contains the Family Demographic Form that is required for completion prior to the First Day of School. This form will populate your student/family’s contact information that we have on file, and gives you an opportunity to edit or update any of the information listed. You will also be prompted to add in or update Emergency Contacts as well as Transportation Contacts (those approved to drop off or pick up your child).
Streamlined Forms
To simplify the start of the school year, we have integrated all annual parent forms into the online enrollment and re-enrollment packets you completed this spring. This streamlined process means you have already e-signed the necessary school permissions and agreements in the FACTS system.
Those forms included:
NAPS Handbook Acknowledgment
Extended Care Registration
Photo Release Permission
Annual Field Trip Permission
Student-Owned Electronic Device Agreement
While these forms are complete, we encourage all families to review these documents as needed throughout the year. It is your responsibility to be familiar with all school policies, especially the notable updates made to the NAPS Handbook for the 2026-2027 school year (COMING SOON in the section below).
If you are unsure of your permissions, would like a copy of them, or need to change any permissions, please contact Christy Sykes at csykes@napschool.com.
EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM
We use FACTS as our Emergency Alert System for communications such as weather delays or closures. In the Family Demographic Form in the Web Forms section of the FACTS Family Portal, you have the ability to designate all the ways you would like to receive these alerts - email, home phone, cell phone, and/or text. You can opt in to all, or whichever you most prefer.
For Text Message Alerts, there is one additional step to ensure your mobile phone will receive the Alerts via text: Please text START to 31706.
We plan on testing out this system prior to the first day of school. We will notify you in advance of this test.
If you need assistance with accessing FACTS, please contact Ms. Corsey in the school office: kcorsey@napschool.com or 410-757-3090.
STUDENT HEALTH INFORMATION
NEW THIS YEAR: FACTS & Magnus Integration
Magnus is our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, which we use to manage all student health information and health-related communication throughout the school year.
Magnus Health has now been fully integrated with FACTS. This means that parents can now access Magnus through our FACTS Family Portal using a single sign in and password.
To locate Magnus Health in FACTS:
From the left bar, select "Student". This will reveal more options.
Select the "Medical" option and Magnus Health in bright orange text with an orange login button will be visible.
Click on the login button, your student/s will immediately appear.
If you need assistance with accessing FACTS, please contact Ms. Corsey in the school office: kcorsey@napschool.com or 410-757-3090.
REQUIRED HEALTH FORMS
All health forms and information must be submitted by August 2.
A NEW STUDENT checklist is included here to assist families with health information requirements for new students.
Immunization Records are required to be provided before a student's first day of attendance by state law. Maryland school immunization requirements can be found here. A computer-generated copy of immunization records is acceptable. If your student has received immunizations in Maryland (excluding military clinics), their records may be accessed free of charge through the Maryland State Health Department here. Please note the following vaccination requirements for specific grade entry:
Students entering Kindergarten are required to show evidence of 2 doses of Varicella vaccine (VZV/chicken pox) and Measles, Mumps and Rubella, (MMR) to be compliant for school. These are usually given at age 4.
Students entering 7th Grade must show proof of Tdap (Typhoid, Diphtheria and Pertussis) and Meningococcal conjugate (MCV4) vaccines. These are usually given at age 11.
A School Entry Physical Examination form is required for ALL NEW students. The form must be completed and signed by a healthcare provider and uploaded into Magnus.
A Medication Administration Authorization form is required for each medication, (with the exception of acetaminophen and ibuprofen), if medication needs to be administered to your student during the school day. This requirement applies to both prescription and over-the-counter medications. The form must be completed and signed by both a healthcare provider and a parent/guardian.
An Action Plan is required for all students with anaphylaxis risk (food and environmental/bee stings), asthma, seizures, or diabetes. This form must also be completed and signed by both a healthcare provider and a parent/guardian.
If your student has any complex health needs, you have any questions about your student's health care at school, issues with timings for submission of health information, or problems with Magnus, please contact Nurse Niki at healthroom@napschool.com.
All health forms and information must be submitted by August 2.
ATHLETICS FORM
Students who wish to participate in the secondary school sports program must also submit a Preparticipation Physical Examination (PPE) form signed by a healthcare provider. This form is separate from the School Entry Physical Examination listed above and must be renewed annually.
Secondary School Athletics
Students in Grades 6-8 are eligible to join our Secondary School Sports programs. (5th grade students are eligible if it is deemed necessary for the team to have more participants, and are invited by the Athletic Director). These practices/trainings generally take place after school, Mondays-Thursdays each season. Information and registration for teams is provided by the Athletic Director.
For additional information about Athletics at NAPS please contact Athletic Director Nate Babcock at nbabcock@napschool.com.
Check out the school supply lists for each grade. Students should bring all supplies to school on the first day.
NAPS offers a variety of After-School Enrichment programs each trimester. Most Enrichments run from 3:00–4:00 PM, and there is a second carpool pickup at 4:00 PM for those students not registered for/going to Extended Care.
Program descriptions, details, and registration information for Fall enrichments will be made available by the end of July.
Each semester, with the coordination of parent volunteers, NAPS offers a number of hot lunch options. This program serves as a fundraiser for each grade level’s field trip fund. More info and links to sign up COMING SOON.
In planning for the school year, it may be helpful to connect with other NAPS families living near you, if you are interested in forming carpool groups. To help facilitate this process, please complete this form if you are interested in participating. Fewer vehicles on Greenbury Point Road will be extremely helpful with traffic, so we highly encourage carpooling if families are able to do so. Further instructions and information will be shared in subsequent newsletters once the data has been collected.
We are pleased to share that several of our dedicated faculty members are available to support students and families over the summer. Please contact faculty members directly to inquire about their availability, rates, and scheduling.

Rising 6th Grade + New-to-NAPS Secondary School Families:
As we prepare for the 2026–27 academic year, we are providing the mandatory technical specifications for students entering grades that require a personal learning device.
Personal Device Specifications
Per the mandatory Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy outlined in your enrollment documentation, families must provide a personal laptop for the upcoming school year. Whether purchasing a new device or utilizing an existing one, the laptop must meet the following criteria to ensure compatibility with our curriculum and management systems:
Type: Apple Mac laptop (MacBook Air, Pro, or Neo).
Age: 2020 models or newer (Apple Silicon M1 chip or newer recommended).
Condition: New, refurbished, or used, provided it is fully functional.
Hardware: Must include a functioning screen, webcam, and physical keyboard.
Configuration: Laptops cannot be attached to an apple ID. If you are buying a new device, please do not enter any apple ID information. Laptops must be unlinked from any personal Apple ID and have "Find My Mac" disabled prior to drop-off.
Exclusions: iPads, Chromebooks, Windows laptops, smartphones, and smartwatches are strictly prohibited as primary learning devices.
School System Integration
To provide essential content filtering and network access, all personal devices must be integrated into Mosyle, our school-wide management system.
Deadline: Devices must be dropped off at the school office no later than Monday, August 3, 2026.
Timeline: Device drop-off is open. Early submissions are highly encouraged to ensure optimal processing time. We cannot guarantee device readiness for the first day of school if received after August 3.
Process: Used or refurbished devices will undergo a factory reset during the integration process. Ensure all personal data is backed up prior to delivery.
Return: Configured devices will be returned directly to students on the first day of classes.
Thank you for your cooperation in preparing our secondary school students for a successful year ahead.
All Secondary School students, with the help of a parent/guardian, are required to complete the Elective Preference Form by Thursday, July 16 to help us finalize class schedules for the 2026/27 academic year. Be aware that completing this form does not guarantee your class selections.
A Foreign Language class is required year-round. Students may choose between French and Spanish.
PE/Health, Integrated Studies, and Tech Ed are also required for all students, with no election required.
An Arts Class is required all 3 trimesters. Students may select from Music, Art, and Photography.
We will do our best to accommodate all preferences, but may need to adjust assignments based on overall responses and staffing availability.
ELECTIVE PREFERENCE LINK/FORM COMING SOON
*Note regarding supplies and device usage agreement for all Photography classes: Those selecting Photography as an elective, in any trimester, will be required to complete a Device Use Agreement before accessing the school’s cameras. This will be emailed once class rosters are finalized. Students will also need to bring a NEW (not a cleared/deleted) Memory Card. This should be a full size memory card, not a mini card with adapter, minimum 32 gb (example: SanDisk is a trusted brand). Any student new to NAPS or new to photography class in grades 7 and 8 will need to meet with Mrs. Rimmer 2 times for about 20 minutes each during the first 2 weeks of school outside of class to get caught up on camera handling basics. This could be during ad block, study hall, after school or another time agreed upon by staff.

NAPS runs an Extended Care program before and after school hours. Enrollment in the Extended Care program opened for returning families during re-enrollment and for new families during initial enrollment for the coming school year.
Registration confirmation emails were sent to families on June 5th for the 2026-27 academic year. If you are unsure of your Extended Care program status, or if your family’s needs have changed, please contact Christy Sykes at csykes@napschool.com.
Extended Care consists of structured play and organized activities, based on age group. We offer before-school care from 7:00 – 7:50 AM. After-school care for full-day students from 2:50 to 5:30 PM. Families may use this service routinely by formal registration. Occasional, or “drop-in,” use of the extended care program is available when space allows. Whenever possible, parents should make an advance reservation for occasional extended care use by emailing contact@napschool.com, enhancing the likelihood of securing a space.
Those officially registered for Extended Care at NAPS for the fall will automatically roll into the second half of the year.
There are other options to consider for care outside of regular school hours.
Billy the Kid Youth Center is an aftercare option for military families. A bus service from NAPS to the youth center is arranged for those enrolled. More information can be found on the MWR website, or contact Youth Center Director, Jaime Fisher at jaime.c.fisher@navy.mil. Students must be Kindergarten or older, and affiliated with the US Military.
There are other unaffiliated programs in the area that have had transportation to and from NAPS in the past, and may do so again if there is interest from our community, such as SmartFit Kids Academy and Lee’s Tae Kwon Do.
Parents provide transportation to and from school; the school does not offer transportation. Each family receives a carpool number to be used during pickup time. This number is referred to as a carpool number even when used by an individual family. Block extended care families must notify the school if a student will be leaving at a regular carpool time. Block extended care students will not be dismissed for car pickup at any other time. Parents must walk in and sign out the student.
Parents must have a carpool number whether alone or in a multi-family carpool.
Families that form a regular carpool will receive the same number.
Parents should notify the school about multi-family carpools as soon as possible so the children can be grouped together at dismissal time.
Parents must contact the school giving permission for their child to leave the school with anyone other than his/her regular carpool.
Parents who take part in a multi-family carpool should always notify other carpool members when making other drop-off or pickup arrangements.
CARPOOL LINE OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
School Arrival
Morning Carpool begins at 7:50 AM and ends at 8:15 AM for all students in PreK-5th grade; their school day and morning announcements begin promptly at 8:30 AM. Families are welcomed and encouraged to walk-up to avoid carpool line delays. Staff members will remain outside until all cars in line have been emptied. Our Secondary Schoolers are encouraged to arrive at 7:30 AM to maximize the instructional time of each day. Secondary School Advisory begins promptly at 7:50 AM.
Do not turn left into the NAPS driveway during carpool. Proceed past the school and use one of the two turn-around areas on Greenbury Point Road to enter the waiting vehicle line.
To expedite the morning carpool process, position children on the passenger side of the car, release buckles before entering the circle, pull as far forward as possible to an available staff member who will assist your child, and move along as soon as your child is safely on the sidewalk.
For safety purposes, do not get out of your vehicle, and do not allow children to exit on the driver's side of the vehicle. Students may only exit from the right/passenger side.
Have your child ready to exit your vehicle when staff opens your car door; this means out of seatbelts, backpacks ready, and breakfast complete.
Breakfast must be finished before exiting a vehicle in carpool line. No open food or drinks (ie, Starbucks, travel mugs) of any kind are allowed.
Do not engage the staff in conversation during carpool arrival and departure; this delays the entire operation.
Please do not hand correspondence or other items to the carpool staff.
Refrain from talking on cell phones (hand held or bluetooth) at any time during carpool.
If you choose morning WALK-UP:
Parents should deliver students to the school entrance without entering the building. Parents dropping students off in their classroom can be disruptive particularly for our Preschool and Kindergarten students. A faculty member is in the foyer and will help guide students to their appropriate classrooms.
Students are not permitted to walk up to the school unattended. Parking is located across the street from the school in the Brigade Sports Complex (BSC) lot. Park and accompany your child to the school entrance using the crosswalk located across from the mailbox to avoid the car line.
Do not park near the putting green and walk up the side hill or across the putting green.
DO NOT, under any circumstances, park in any handicap parking spots unless you have the proper authorization displayed.
Secondary School Morning Exception
Our Secondary Schoolers are able and encouraged to arrive at 7:30 AM to maximize the instructional time of each day. To assist with this request, NAPS Secondary School families ONLY (6th-8th Grade students AND their younger sibling(s)) may turn left into the Driving Range parking lot, exit their vehicle, and walk up the hill to the school entrance. DO NOT, under any circumstances, park in any handicap parking spots unless you have the proper authorization displayed.
Morning Extended Care Traffic Flow
All vehicles entering the driveway, including those dropping off for Morning Extended Care at the Porch side entrance, must strictly adhere to the designated one-way flow of traffic around the carpool circle (proceeding right). Driving the opposite direction to access the top lot is a severe safety hazard that creates a risk of collision with exiting vehicles and is strictly prohibited. To avoid delays and bottlenecks that occur during the peak Secondary School drop-off period (beginning at 7:30 AM), we strongly suggest arriving before 7:20 AM.
School Departure
Display your carpool number prominently on the passenger side visor, and keep it displayed until your child(ren) is in your vehicle.
As with morning drop-off, do not make left turns into the driveway ahead of other parents. Proceed past the school, use one of the two turn-around areas on Greenbury Point Road, and enter the vehicle line in order.
Follow the car in front of you, and, once in the circle, pull as far forward as possible to an available staff member who will assist your child into the passenger side of the vehicle.
Mandatory Buckling Protocol:
To make carpool safe and efficient, we strongly recommend parents work with their children at home on practicing quickly buckling themselves into their car seats or seat belts on their own. Our goal is to empower children to clip in independently immediately after entering the vehicle. The following protocol is mandatory to comply with Maryland State Law and Naval Support Activity Annapolis (NSAA) Law Enforcement regulations:
Maryland State Law requires that all occupants, including children, must be properly restrained with a seat belt or child safety seat at all times while the vehicle is being operated. Children must be secured in a seat belt or child restraint system before the vehicle is in motion.
Buckling in Carpool Circle: Do not exit your vehicle to secure children in the carpool circle as this causes significant delays and is a safety hazard.
Approved Safe Buckling Zone: If your child requires assistance fastening their seat belt or car seat, you must proceed immediately to the upper parking lot at NAPS. This is the only approved area outside of the carpool circle for parents to stop and assist with buckling.
No Stopping at End of Driveway: The practice of stopping at the end of the driveway in the pull-off area on Greenbury Point Road is not permitted.
Afternoon Walk-ups: Please have your number and name on a sheet when walking up to retrieve your children. This helps us with the start of dismissal and carpool.
Enrichment Program Pick-Ups
We run a second afternoon carpool line following the conclusion of After-School Enrichments (4:00 PM dismissal, every Monday-Friday). Please refer and adhere to the above afternoon carpool guidelines.
Secondary School Sports & Extended Care Pick-Ups
Parents picking up from Extended Care or Sports practices must park and walk up to procure their child(ren). If you are picking up while the second afternoon Enrichment carpool line is running, do not park in the straightaway or circle. Park in the lower golf lot or BSC lot across the street and walk up.
Parents cannot drop students off for practices without speaking to the Coach or Athletic Director. All students should be accounted for and transferred to a coach/adult.
Building Entry
Classrooms and school hallways are closed before 7:50 AM and after 3:00 PM for safety and security reasons. Parents using morning extended care must drop off children directly on the Porch with their daily belongings. Students are not permitted to enter classrooms before the school day begins, or to return to the classrooms to retrieve forgotten homework after 3:00 PM. This is applicable to students enrolled in enrichments and/or extended care as well.
Parking
Visitor Parking is located across the street from the school in the Brigade Sports Complex (BSC) lot. Visitors arriving during carpool operations or staying for an extended period must park at the BSC.
Only use the crosswalk perpendicular to the mailbox to avoid walking between cars.
Do not park near the putting green and walk up the side hill or across the putting green.
Visitors may park in the straight section of the driveway for quick visits during non-carpool hours. The Circle in front of NAPS is blocked off with stanchions for the safety of our students and faculty during school hours. While they may not completely block every inch of roadway space, their intention is to be a visual reminder to not enter into that area with your vehicle. Always park your vehicle at a safe distance behind the stanchions and turn your vehicle all the way off. No matter how brief your visit, never leave a running vehicle unattended in front of the school.
There is no parking in the upper parking lot during the school day. It is reserved for staff parking, as well as PE and recess activities.
All Visitors must report to the main office when entering the school. If you are dropping off items for a student, please leave them in the main office. If you are picking up a student early, please sign them out and wait at the office while a staff member calls the student from their classroom. Never proceed directly to a classroom.
Driving on Greenbury Point
Be mindful of the SPEED LIMIT on Greenbury Point. The speed limit drops from 30 MPH to 15 MPH as you approach the school. Please be aware that this is a school zone, and Navy police consistently patrol the area.
Remember that golfers—in carts or on foot—have the right of way.
Enforcement: NSAA Law Enforcement strictly enforces all Maryland State traffic laws, including seatbelt and speeding infractions, on base property.
National Anthem Protocol: You must stop and turn on your hazards during the National Anthem, which plays daily at 8:00 AM.
Cell Phone Use: Do not use a handheld cell phone while operating a vehicle on USNA/NSA property, as this is prohibited by Maryland State law.
The following safety rules are in place to protect our children and are a top priority for our school:
Visiting and volunteering at the school: All visitors and volunteers must enter through the front door. Please face the intercom security camera for easy visual identification. Once buzzed in, all visitors must check in at the Front Office and leave a photo ID in exchange for a visitor’s badge. This ensures we know non-NAPS staff at all times. Visitor badges are required for every adult. When exiting the building, please do not hold the door open for someone coming into the building. For everyone’s safety, and for compliance with emergency protocols, it is imperative that visitors also sign out before departing the school building. In the event of an evacuation, we need to be able to quickly account for all people on our property at all times.
The side door that is used for extended care has the same buzz-in capabilities as the front door. Extended care staff will let you in for drop-offs and pick-ups.
For any short errand in the school: You may park in the 15-minute parking zone on the straight part of the driveway, behind the safety stanchions; you may not park on the circle at any time.
Taking children out of school or bringing children to school during school hours: When arriving during school hours—this includes late arrivals after morning carpool has ended—a parent must park, accompany the student to the Front Office, and sign in the child.
When removing a child from school at any time during school hours: Please email Ms. Corsey kcorsey@napschool.com, as well as your child’s teacher ahead of time. (In case of emergency you may inform the school by phone.) Please go to the Front Office, notify a staff member, sign out your child, and wait. A staff member will call for the child over the intercom.
Something wonderful happens when parents, teachers, and students all work together to create a nurturing learning community, and we have plenty of opportunities for volunteers this year. At this time, we are looking for participants for the following:
SUNDAY, AUGUST 9: Community Service Day (Adults + SS Students Only) | 8:00-10:30 AM
Our campus is in need of a green clean-up day before our students return. We would love parent volunteers to come join us on the morning of Sunday, August 9 from 8:00-10:30 AM. Secondary School students are also invited to participate and their time will count towards their mandatory service hours. Sign up link COMING SOON.
Navy Football Suite Attendant
Each fall, the NAPS community has provided volunteers to act as Suite Attendants for Navy Football home games. This earns a significant amount of money for NAPS, and volunteers receive four free tickets to any home football game of their choice, a parking pass for that game, and an official Navy polo shirt to wear while volunteering. We are in desperate need of a point person willing to be the liaison and volunteer coordinator for this program. If you are interested and able, please email Ms. Dagenais at kdagenais@napschool.com.

The store offers a seamless shopping experience with every order shipped directly to your front door. Please note that only the outerwear adheres to the NAPS Uniform Policy for in-school wear.
All parents and guardians of NAPS students are members of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). PTO serves to build community at NAPS by offering opportunities for parents and students to socialize and participate in school-wide events. PTO supports the school through various fundraising efforts and community events planned to enhance the overall experience at NAPS. We encourage all parents to participate in PTO meetings, community events and coordinated fundraising efforts.

Morning extended care will open at 7:00 AM for registered users. We will open the school doors at 7:50 AM for the normal school day, for PreK-5th Grade. Parents are welcome to walk students into the building on the first day, but we ask that you visit only briefly to avoid crowds in the classrooms.
Our Secondary Schoolers are encouraged to arrive at 7:30 AM to maximize the instructional time of each day. Secondary School 1st period begins promptly at 7:50 AM.
Morning carpool will pause each day at 8:00 AM as the National Anthem is played over the speakers at the Golf Course and on campus. If you are parking and walking up during this time, please pause with us, being mindful of safety at the crosswalk.
Parents are invited to stay, following your student’s drop off, for our first day morning flag raising. This will happen in the circle at 8:20 AM. Preschool students do not participate in this ceremony. It is too challenging for the little ones that are just saying goodbye.
Afternoon dismissal will begin around 2:40 PM for walk-ups. If you are walking up, please have your number in your hand for staff members to see. Regular drive-up dismissal will begin at 2:45 PM. Once drive-up dismissal begins, no more walk-ups will be allowed. Afternoon extended care for registered users will be open until 5:30 PM.
Please practice fastening/unfastening the seatbelt with your child. Staff members may not buckle children in or out of car seats.
